Goko/GOKO

The company we normally refer to as Sanyo -- which might be better written as "San'yō" if we were trying to represent the Japanese correctly -- consistently refers to itself as "SANYO". The rest of the world (Camerapedia included) politely ignores this and writes "Sanyo": after all, it's not as if people talked about "Ess aye enn why oh". At least one of the Airesflex models has a nameplate announcing itself as "AIRESFLEX"; the Camerapedia article mentions this, but refers to the camera as "Airesflex".

Likewise, unless there's some evidence that Goko cameras are referred to as "Gee oh kay oh" cameras in English (or analogously in German, French, etc.), I propose that they should all be referred to within Camerapedia as "Goko", not "GOKO". -- Hoary 20:02, 4 August 2006 (EDT)

Now:
''Goko Camera Co., Ltd.'' (GOKOカメラ株式会社<REF> With Goko in Roman uppercase letters. </REF>)
In whose place I propose:
Goko Camera Co., Ltd. (Gokoカメラ株式会社)
If Goko wishes to SHOUT, it can do so. We needn't shout on its behalf. -- Hoary 06:49, 23 August 2006 (EDT)
