E. Suter was a camera maker based in Basel/Switzerland. Their Reisekameras have a very close resemblance to those made in the Dresden region, Germany, indicating a possible connection, or even that the wooden camera bodies may have been supplied from there, for Suter to supply the lenses of their own make. Some cameras from this source have actually small badge with Suter's name and it's origin, eg. Basel(Gernman) or Bale (French)
