Susse Frères means brothers Susse. They built a few of the first marketed photo cameras, cameras of the type designed by Louis Jacques Mandé Daguerre, maybe the first cameras photo cameras in black, thus being extremely high evaluated collectors's items. An auction of one of these cameras brought the highest price

They were also editors of a book by Daguerre, entitled "Historique et description des procédés du daguerréotype et du diorama"
