The Super R-I is a less common model from Spartus—apparently an upmarket version of the Full-Vue or a downmarket version of the geared-focus Spartaflex. Unlike the latter model, the R-I does not have a focusable viewing lens, and so would be classed as a pseudo TLR. However it does include a scale focusing lens, and an f/stop selector offering three apertures between f/7.7 and f/22. It gives 2¼" square exposures on 120 film.

The Super R-I has a molded front panel, and both dark and light color schemes have been observed.
