The Sony 300mm F2.8 G is a tele lens for the Sony system cameras with Minolta AF mount. It was developed in 2003 by Minolta and rebranded as Sony lens in 2006. It is a very fast tele lens with silent "Supersonic Wave" autofocus motor. It can be focused manually even in autofocus mode when the camera's shutter release button is pressed halfways (DMF=direct manual focusing). Several operation mode switches are on the lens barrel.
