Shimura (志村) is a Japanese company, which made the Mascot subminiature camera around 1950. The sources disagree on the company's full name, saying either "Shimura Kōgaku", "Shimura Koki" or "Shimura Seiki Co."[1] Among these, Shimura Kōgaku (志村光学) is given by the most reliable source.

Notes

  1. "Shimura Kōgaku": Kokusan kamera no rekishi, p.365. "Shimura Koki": McKeown, p.890. "Shimura Seiki Co.": Sugiyama, item 5062.
