The Ricoh GXR has been introduced by Ricoh in 2009. The GXR is an interchangeable unit camera system designed by Ricoh in which lenses are changed by using a slide-in mount system to attach camera units to the body. The lens, image sensor, and image processing engine are integrated into the camera units so the body itself does not contain an image sensor.


GXR Major Specifications:

  • Magnesium body
  • Display: Display: 3.0-inch Transparent LCD (approx. 920,000 dots)
  • Viewfinder: Optional Electronic Viewfinder VF2
  • Dimensions: 113,9 mm × 70,2 mm × 28,9 mm ; does not include protruding parts
  • Weight: Approx.160g(excluding battery, SD Memory Card, hand strap)

  • GR LENS A12 50 mm F2.5 MACRO camera unit
    • Sensor: 23.6 mm x 15.7 mm (APS-C size) CMOS sensor with approximately 12.30 megapixels
    • Lens: GR LENS with an 8-group, 9-element configuration (aspherical lens: 1 element, two surfaces)
    • Macro: 7cm


  • RICOH LENS S10 24-72 mm F2.5-4.4 VC camera unit
    • Sensor: 10.00 megapixel 1/1.7-inch CCD
    • Lens: 24-72 mm - 11 element in 7 groups (aspherical lens: 4 elements, 4 surfaces) that includes special low-dispersion lenses


  • RICOH LENS P10 28-300 mm F3.5-5.6 VC camera unit
    • Sensor: 10.6 megapixel 1/2.3-inch back-illuminated CMOS
    • Lens: 28-300 mm - 10 elements in 7 groups (4 aspherical lens elements)
    • Continuous Shooting: 5 fps (RAW), 30 fps, 120 fps
