Reise Optical Institute was a Japanese camera maker. Since 1951 it made the Chiyoca 35 cameras for Chiyoda Shōkai, a photo shop in Tokyo. These cameras were a nice Leica-like camera series. Later the company was renamed to Reise Camera Company, Ltd., and its cameras were branded Chiyotax because of the nearness of the name Chiyoca to Minolta's 1950s company and brand names Chiyoda and Chiyoko. In 1956 the camera line was discontinued.
