Glossary Terms

The term Reflex in a camera refers to use of the taking lens (single-lens reflex)), or a second lens, similar to the taking lens ([[TLR|twin-lens reflex), as part of the viewfinder system. This normally involves the addition of a mirror to shift the image away from the film plane to where it can be easily viewed by eye.
