The human being operating a still camera with the result that the film or other light sensitive media inside the camera becomes exposed with the light from a scene can be called the photographer of that scene since that exposure can be developed to a picture in following steps, a picture showing exactly the relative dispensation of the recorded light, called photo or photograph.
