The MX-1 is a digital camera produced by Pentax Ricoh Imaging in 2013.
It uses a retro style body design made similar to older film cameras. Material usage includes a brass top and bottom plates and the body is surrounded with leatherette.
The imaging sensor is a 12 megapixel 1/1.7" CMOS based design which captures images with a maximum 4000 x 3000 resolution. Images can be captured in Jpg or in a Raw DNG file formats. There are more than 20 different program modes. There are also just as many filter options including B&W, sepia, toy, retro, high contrast, soft, miniature etc. Video can be recorded in 1920x1080 in 30/60 fps, or in 1280x720 in 30 fps with the MPEG-4 AVC/H264 format.
It uses a Pentax SMC branded 4x 8-24mm f/1.8 to 2.5 zoom lens. It is made from 11 elements in eight groups, and has a 35mm equivalent range of 28 to 112mm. The focus range is from 0.4m to inf, there is also a macro mode range 0.05m to 0.5m.
The back has a tilting 920,000 pixel 3" color LCD display. There is 75MB of built-in storage and is compatible with SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards for removable storage. It is available in black and a silver with black leatherette.
