The Pentax 645Z is a medium format digital SLR announced by Ricoh Imaging in 2014. It is an update of the previous Pentax 645D.
The body is similar in design to the previous 645 cameras from the original film based 645, 645N and Digital 645D, with a solid metal internal chassis wrapped in a rubberized and plastic exterior; but it is dustproof, weather-resistant and cold-resistant.
It uses a 51 megapixel CMOS based sensor of 43.8 x 32.8mm. This sensor does not use an anti-aliasing filter. This produces images with a resolution of 8256 x 6192 pixels. The crop factor of this is 0.79x. It uses the 645AF2 mount, which that is compatible with the film based 645AF lenses. Pentax 67 lenses can be used with an adapter as well.
