In the final days of the Pentacon VEB the company sold many lenses which they bought from other manufacturers. This is one example, although it is not the most common one. The lens was actually made by the Japanese company Sigma. It has a DOF-preview stop-down button on the side, and the electric components required by the later Praktica models like the VLC, PLC and EE series.
