The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 is a compact digital camera released by Panasonic in 2008. It is the third revision of the LX series. It features a traditional 3:2 10 mega pixel 1/1.63" CCD sensor, while the previous DMC-LX2 had a 16:9 sensor. A 5.1 to 12.8mm (24 to 60mm) wide Leica DC Summicorn f2.0-2.8 (2.5x optical) zoom lens. Built-in electronic flash that raises with a toggle switch, as well as an accessory shoe. A high resolution 460K 3:2 3" LCD screen. Has an easy to access aspect ration switch above the lens that toggles 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 modes. Capable of 720p HD video at 24fps. It uses SD cards for image storage. The camera is available in silver as well as black.
A newer model the DMC-LX5 was introduced in 2010.
