The '''Lumix DMC-LC40''' is a digital camera from Japanese company [[Panasonic]] release in 2002.

It uses a 4 [[megapixel]] 1/1.7" [[CCD]] imaging sensor. This produces a max resolution of 2240 x 1680. Images can be stored in [[JPEG]] in standard or fine modes as well as in a uncompressed [[TIFF]] format. It uses a Leica branded DC Vario-Summicron 7-21mm; [[35mm equivalent]] 35-100mm 3x zoom lens with a aperture of f/2 to f/8. There is a traditional optical finder along with a 110,000 pixel 1.8" LCD screen. Removable storage is with [[Secure Digital|SD]] or [[MultiMediaCard|MMC]] cards. 16mb SD card is usually bundled with the camera.
