The Auto was a rangefinder introduced by Olympus in 1958. It has a built-in selenium exposure meter, which is fully coupled to the speed and aperture settings. Despite the model name, the camera has no auto-exposure mode. The viewfinder has automatic parallax correction. The fast 7-element G.Zuiko 42 mm f/1.8 lens is fitted in a Seikosha-SLV shutter with speeds 1 sec. to 1/500 sec. plus B mode and X and M flash-synchronization. The camera was sold in Japan for ¥34,800 (including the case).
