The Olympus 35 LE was a rangefinder launched in 1965. It featured the world's first programmable electronic shutter with a flashmatic function. The 1/15-1/500s programmable EE electronic shutter was controlled by a CdS light sensor through some transistor electronics. Operation was as simple as setting the distance and pushing the shutter button.
