The Coolpix S4 is a compact digital camera manufactured by Nikon and announced in Sept 2005. This camera uses a swivel lens type design last seen on the Coolpix SQ 2 years earlier. The body size and design is most like an upgrade to 2002's Nikon Coolpix 4500.
It uses a 1/2.5" 6 megapixel CCD sensor which can produce a maximum image size of 2816 x 2112. It uses a 35mm equivalent 38mm - 380mm 10x zoom lens. The swiveling design allows the lens section to rotate 270°. It has a 110,000 pixel 2.5 inch LCD screen. There is 13.5MB of internal memory and SD cards are used for removable storage. Power is with 2x AA sized batteries.
