The Coolpix S2 is a ultra compact digital camera manufactured by Nikon and announced in 2005. It is almost identical the Nikon Coolpix S1 in specifications, but designed with a sliding lens cover. The body is inscribe with "all weather'. This camera cannot be used underwater and is more of a splash proof design.

It uses a 1/2.5" 5.1 megapixel CCD sensor which can produce a maximum image size of 2592 x 1944. It uses a 35mm equivalent 35mm - 105mm 3x zoom lens. It has a 2.5 inch LCD screen. There is 12MB of internal memory and SD cards are used for removable storage.
