The Automex III was a 35mm SLR introduced by Miranda as a 1965 followup to the Automex II. While the the front of the removable pentaprism still includes a large flat area, this no longer carries the selenium meter of the earlier models; instead, a round CdS cell is located below the rewind crank on the front of the body, taking the place of the flash sync connector on the earlier Automex. The meter reading is coupled to both shutter speed and aperture.
