The Minolta XM Motor was basically a Minolta XM with added grip and film advance motor. The original XM's self-timer was omitted. The motor speed could be set for 1, 2, or 3 frames per second. In high-speed mode up to 4 exposures per second were possible. A 10m film magazine was attachable (for 250 exposures). The accessories for the XM were applicable. A new viewfinder module became available for both cameras. The new pentaprism finder "S" had a semiconductor sensor which measured EV -2 to 17 and showed speeds from 8s to 1/2000s with LEDs.
