The Minolta Vectis GX-4 is the waterproof model in the GX sub-series of Minolta's Vectis line of APS film cameras. The Vectis GX cameras were a series of splash-proof and waterproof fancy cameras similar to the Minolta Vectis GX-2.

The camera design is unique for its one big bull's eye. Both camera lens and viewfinder together use this window. The 27mm "focus-free"[1] lens makes it a point-and-shoot camera. Exposure is fully automatic, automatically adding flash at low light. The main control lever of the camera switches from "camera off" to the three selectable APS print formats or to a self-timer mode. The reverse Galilean bright frame viewfinder shows three bright frames, each for one of the APS print frame sizes. The LCD image counter is visible through a rectangular window in the top.

Notes

  1. "focus-free" meaning neither manual focusing nor autofocus is possible
