The '''[[Minolta]] V3''' rangefinder camera was derived from the [[Minolta V2]] in 1960. As its predecessor it is an all mechanical camera, but with built in uncoupled selenium exposure meter. Only two years after the V2's leaf shutter speed world record Minolta reached a new one with the V3's only 1/3000 second minimum exposure time.

The Minolta V3 uses a [[leaf shutter]] with limited aperture options: 

*at B and from 1 sec to 1/500 sec every aperture from f/1.8 to f/22 can be used
*at 1/1000 sec only apertures from f/4 to f/22 can be used 
*at 1/3000 sec only apertures from f/8 to f/22 can be used
