Minolta's SR-T series of SLRs was a huge success. The coupled match-needle meter visible thru the viewfinder, paired with sturdy construction and reliable mechanics, were the characteristics. "SR-T" stood for "SR"-cameras (SR for "single-lens reflex") like its predecessors SR-2, SR-1, SR-3 and SR-7, but with TTL metering system (T for "TTL"="thru the lens"). With the SR-T 101 of 1966 the SR lens bayonet was modified for "MC"-lenses which transmit the aperture value mechanically to the camera meter's match-needle.

FP, X: Two separate sync terminals for FP and X
FP/X: One terminal for both with additional switch
X: X terminal only - ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 DOF preview
locking: Push button locks when pressed and meter switches off, if lens with MC tab is used (no metering)
non locking: Push button does not lock when pressed and meter does not switch off with MC lens (wrong metering)
So in no case a stop down metering with a MC lens is possible. - ↑ 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 Focusing screen

- ↑ 6.0 6.1 SR101s/505s: Top covers and code no. are known, but no production cameras. Since the code no. were later re-used for the SR-T 201/101b, it's very likely, that these models were never produced. Cite error: Invalid
