The last of Minolta's pro camera's it is a successor to both the 9xi and the new maxxum 7. As with the maxxum 9xi the 9 was a rugged camera with legends of it being used to drive nails. Rubberized controls and weatherproof controls made this camera ready to take in anything in its path.
