Macro photography means making any kind of sharp close-up photos of objects in a distance shorter than the minimal object distance of a standard lens. Macro photos can be achieved with macro lens, with add-on close-up lens element (or add-on close-up single group achromatic lens) on a normal lens, with lens tube extension, or, the most exciting, with reverse lens adapter (retro adapter).
