In late 2005 Konica Minolta crowned its very special X series of digital compact cameras with one in fresh new aluminium body design, i.e. with the 8 megapixel Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1. This had been one of the last new cameras of Konica Minolta. The camera had a larger sensor than its predecessors of the Minolta DiMAGE X series, and it featured an anti shake.
