It was based in the city of Kashiwa (Chiba Prefecture), hence its name.[1] It made the Motoca 35 in 1948–9 and the Cooky 35 in 1949–50, and it announced the Blondy subminiature in 1949. It used the name "Kashiwaseiko" or "Kashiwaseiko Co." in a single word for the camera markings.
