The name Jeicy Camera Works is found on the top cover of the Jeicy, a Japanese Leica copy of which a single example has surfaced. Nothing is known of the company, and it does not appear in any original document found so far.

The name "Jeicy Camera Works" does not sound like that of an actual Japanese company, but rather like the dummy names used in advertising material before World War II, and sometimes into the 1940s or 1950s (see Camera Works).
