In about 1962, [[Honeywell]] imported two autoexposure camera models from [[Mamiya]] and sold them under their own branding.

The '''Electric Eye''' was the simpler [[scale focus|scale-focusing]] model with an f/2.8 Mamiya-Kominar 40mm lens. Around this was a ring-shaped [[selenium]] photocell, located within the filter threads to compensate automatically for the light-loss when filters were used. This was a renaming of the [[Mamiya EE Merit]].

The '''Electric Eye 35R''' added [[rangefinder]] focus and was a re-branding of the [[Mamiya EE Super Merit]].

These two exact same models were also sold under the [[Mansfield Eye-Tronic|Eye-Tronic]] name by Chicago distributor [[Mansfield]].
