The camera shown in the picture is described by A. D. Abring as 9x12cm plate camera with "Periscop Rapid Aplanat" lens[1], made by Hermann Bardorf in Berlin in 1901. It is a folding bed camera with a unique brass shutter. Hermann Bardorf owned a drugstore in Berlin-Moabit. He became known as industry photographer who also taught photography. It is not known whether he made that camera or if he just sold it.
