Legibility during the editing process
The <ref> tag is nice for its handling of the ref numbers, but the sentences are more difficult to follow during the editing process beacuse they are broken by the ref statements. Personnally I find it more legible to type <REF> in uppercase because the note is visually better delimited. Do you think we could advise this in the page? --Rebollo fr 07:47, 23 June 2006 (EDT)
- Actually I hadn't known that, or bothered to investigate whether, the Mediawiki preprocessor could handle REF. Yes, recommending REF is fine (though I'll probably continue to use ref, as I'm used to lowercase, which I use elsewhere for Wiki-unrelated purposes). -- Hoary 09:49, 23 June 2006 (EDT)
