The Riken Semi Heil was a 4.5x6 folding camera sold from 1941 by Riken (today Ricoh). According to Ricoh's corporate site, it was a copy of the Balda Baldax, and it was not made by Riken but by another company. Both characteristics were also shared by the Riken Adler CII and Adler III.

Ricoh's corporate site also tells us it was a copy of the small body version of the Baldax, for #00 shutters, whereas the Adler were copies of the large version, for #0 shutters.

The lens was a Ukas Anastigmat 75/4.5, and the shutter a Heil T-B-25-50-100-150.

Note: The names Heil or Adler were clearly used to demonstrate Japan's alliance with Germany. During the war period, Riken used many such "patriotic" names.
