Hanover is the brand or type name of a magazine camera, probably of British or German origin.
The falling-plate box camera's simple version has its aperture holes in the aperture dial on the front plate. Inside it has a giant magazine for 24 plate holders, double as many as in common falling-plate cameras. The shutter with setable speed has to be cocked. The falling-plate release is separate from the shutter release.
The improved version offered better lockable shutter speed dial, a quality lens, and brilliant finders as improvements.
