The AZ-1 was the last M42 mount SLR made by Fujica. It was sold starting in 1978. It included an aperture priority auto-exposure system with TTL metering. The camera used a cloth focal plane shutter. A Fujinon-Z 43-75mm f3.5 - 4.5 zoom lens and Fujinon 55mm f1.8 were available with the AZ-1 as an alternative to the usual Fujinon 50mm f1.4 kit lens.
