The Focasix was a 6x6 rangefinder camera with interchangeable lenses, developed by OPL, the maker of the Foca. The shutter was focal plane, from 1s to 1/1000, synchronized at 1/25. The only lens known, a collapsible Foca Oplar 7.5cm f/3.5, was interchangeable with a specific bayonet mount. The film advance, made by a lever, was coupled to the shutter, and an exposure counter was built in.
It is said only 50 Focasix bodies were built, marked Foca Six.
Princelle has proposed that this camera could have been an extrapolation of the Pontiac Versailles project, but the theory by Vial that the Versailles evolved as the Lumière Lumiclub and Lumière 6x6 seems more probable.
