The Empire Baby is a simple plastic viewfinder camera with single speed shutter and "Optical Crystal Lens" (nice circumscription for single convex element lens). The camera's design was registered in the U.K. Its sales package as well as the imprinting on its film advance knob says that it was made in Hong Kong. Similar cameras were the Clix Midget, the Wales Baby and the Halina Baby. Thus the maker of all these cameras may have been Haking, the maker of the Halina camera brand, but it's also reported that it was made in Macao, too (probably not by Haking). The camera makes sixteen 2.8×3.3cm exposures on one roll of type No. 127 film.
