The Durax is a Japanese leaf shutter made by Rokuoh-sha, the manufacturing branch of Konishiroku (predecessor of Konica). It gives T, B, 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 125 speeds. It was originally released as the Zeus (ゼウス) in 1933 and was quickly renamed Durax, perhaps because the brand name Zeus was already registered by someone else.

The Durax are Japanese leaf shutters made by Rokuoh-sha, then by Konishiroku (predecessors of Konica).

Large model

The large model in #0 size gives T, B, 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 125 speeds. It was originally advertised in 1933 as the Zeus (ゼウス), but was quickly renamed Durax, perhaps because the brand name was already registered by someone else. No surviving example of the Zeus has ever been observed, and the shutter was perhaps never sold under that name.

Small model

The small model in #00 size was released at the beginning of 1938 for the 4.5×6cm Semi Pearl, in combination with a Hexar lens. The production of that model was resumed after 1945.

List of cameras

Not all the versions were equipped with a Zeus or Durax shutter:
