The Cosina CX-2 is an improved version of the Cosina CX-1, which was also made in the same period. It has an automatic exposure system (CdS cell) which determines the aperture/shutter speed. Shutter speeds go from 1/500 to 30 seconds and the aperture range is f2.8 to f16. It also has a flash mode: when you use this you have to choose the aperture, and the shutter speed is always 1/45.

The LOMO LC-A is actually a copy of this camera; the main differences are the self-timer and better lens of the Cosina CX-2.

Cosina also manufactured and rebranded the CX-2 as the CM-135 Auto for Porst.
