The "Aktiengesellschaft Camerawerk Palmos" was founded in 1900 in Jena as an independent company. It was absorbed by Carl Zeiss Jena in 1902 and became Carl Zeiss Palmos AG. It was merged into the new ICA in 1909 where its Palmos camera series was continued.
