Camera Art
Camera Art (カメラアート, Kamera Āto) was a monthly Japanese photographic magazine that ran from 1935 until 1940.
The first issue of Camera Art was that of April 1935. It was published by Camera Art–sha (カメラアート社), set up for the purpose by the magazine's editor, Katsuta Yasuo (勝田康雄), who had previously worked for Photo-Times and Ars Camera. Katsuta devoted a generous amount of the magazine to amateur work, from the February 1937 issue concentrating on one amateur per month, the first being Kuwabara Kineo (桑原甲子雄).
After its December 1940 issue, Camera Art was merged with Photo-Times to create Hōdō Shashin.
