Camerapedia.org is a free-content encyclopedia of camera information. The content on Camerapedia is constructed and maintained using Wiki software. What is a Wiki? A Wiki is a web site that allows any user to add or edit content. Wikis are the most democratic of online documentation sites; if you disagree with something then change it. If something is missing then add it. Wikis make content a two way street; you are no longer a passive reader and the more you participate the better the content gets. Wikis are organic, democratic, aggressively open and unstructured. If you want to learn more about Wikis visit the Wiki entry at Wikipedia.org.

The intention of the camerapedia Wiki is to be a repository for information and links to information about all still camera brands and models. You know your camera equipment better than anyone. Please share that knowledge with everyone and contribute.

We also have a Google Group (mailing list) where we discuss various issues relating to the site. If you'd like to get in touch with the people behind this site, that's the best way to contact them.
