Bloc Métal was the name of the 6x9 folding cameras made by Pontiac with a aluminium body, who replaced the Pontiac Bakélite cameras.

Bloc Métal 41

The first series was the Bloc Métal 41, launched in 1941. It was a straightforward 6x9 folding camera. It had a brilliant finder only, and the film advance was by knob and red window. The aluminium body was not leather covered, but black painted, a characteristic of many later Pontiac cameras.

Bloc Métal 45

The Bloc Métal 45 was a more advanced model, released in 1946. The aluminium body had a more rounded shape, reminiscent of the Lynx. It had an optical finder incorporated in a bright aluminium top plate. The top plate also included a depth of field indicator. The shutter release was on the top plate too. Film advance was by knob and red window.
