Betterlight is a maker of scanbacks based in San Carlos (or Placerville?), California.
It made 4x5" scanbacks fitting almost every (!) standard 4x5" view camera in quick attach mode (clamped between camera and focusing screen frame), controllable by computer via SCSI interface cable. The products still offered have an USB interface. Production seems to have been reduced now - even the top-model which gave 10200x13600 pixels on 3”x4” image resolution is sold out. Probably the success of medium format high-res digital backs limited the market chances for the scanbacks.
