The Bender 4x5 View Camera is one that its owner must assemble at home. It comes delivered as a kit. Therefore its is cheaper than other monorail cameras. The many wooden parts of the camera construction make it lighter than most common monorail cameras.

In 2008 Bender Photographic stopped sales of its monorail cameras due to the decline in use of all film cameras.
