The first version Baby-Box 54/18 was introduced in 1931, a metal box camera for type No. 127 film rolls with small sports finder and single-speed shutter. It had a Frontar f/11 lens and a single speed shutter. A better version had a f/6.3 Novar lens and a hexagon surrounding the lens. In 1934 the f/11 version also got a hexagonal plate around the lens. A standard remote shutter release cable could be attached.
