The Argus Model M is a small bakelite camera, manufactured from 1939-1940. It has a 47mm f6.3 lens in a collapsible mount, and the option to take full-frame or half-frame pictures on 828 film. Argus later used the same body style for another camera, the Model 19, also known as the Minca 28.

Argus likely sold the dies at some point, and the camera was later produced by other companies as a premium, under the names 'Delco 828 and Camro 28.
