The Argus C44R is a 35 mm rangefinder camera made by Argus in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. It is a minor revision of the Argus C44 and accepts the same interchangeable lenses. It adds chromed rapid film advance and rewind levers, plus the option of coupling an external light meter to its shutter-speed dial.

The Cintagon Argus f2.8 50mm Coated lens was standard; but several auxiliary lenses manufactured by Steinheil in Germany were offered:
