The Alpa Reflex 9d is a 35mm SLR camera manufactured by Alpa. Its historical significance is being one of the earliest SLRs (alongside the Pentax Spotmatic) to use CdS cells within the pentaprism housing, aimed at the ground glass, to take TTL exposure readings. This method would soon become near-ubiquitous across the industry. An additional CdS cell corrects for light which might be erroneously entering via the viewfinder eyepiece. However the 9d's selected shutter speed does not couple to the light meter, and exposure settings must be transferred manually.

The 9d was released alongside the Alpa Reflex 9f which lacked a exposure meter.

A specialty is the second M type flash synchronized flashgun connector for shutter speeds up to 1/1000 through use of "FP" (focal plane shutter) type flash bulbs.
