The Aiglon was the first sub miniature camera offered by Atoms beginning in 1929 to 1939. Sub miniature cameras are those which use original film formats smaller than 35mm. While the taking lens could be guess focused, the camera must be considered a pseudo TLR since the viewing lens is fixed, and there is only a brilliant finder. In this respect the camera resembles the Voigtländer Brillant.

The Aiglon has a film spool which allows for film up to 17mm in width. The camera is fitted with an f10, 25mm lens and a removable single-speed shutter.

This page is NOT about the Aiglon (subminiature)!!!

The Atoflex Rex and the similar Aiglon were mande by Atoms. There were name variants, made for various distributors, such as the Fotor Reflex. See also the Dréflex by Pierrat and the Lumireflex by Lumière, based on the same body.

While its taking lens could be guess focused, the camera must be considered a pseudo TLR since the viewing lens is fixed, and there is only a brilliant finder. In this respect the camera resembles the Voigtländer Brillant.
